Jorja Fox Just Can't Stay Away from CSI

Starz is still trying to get on the premium cable prestige bandwagon with another original series. This one is called Gravity, a half-hour dramedy that will star Ving Rhames, Krysten Ritter, Ivan Sergei, and model Rachel Hunter. It's about a bunch of suicide survivors, and was co-created by the unpleasant Eric Schaeffer (If Lucy Fell), who will, of course, co-star. Admittedly, this sounds a lot more interesting than any of Starz's other shows.

Yay! The next season of one the best shows currently running, HBO's Big Love, will premiere on January 10. Ohh, and Sissy Spacek is doing an arc on the show as a Washington lobbyist. Innnnteresting.

ABC has ordered 13 episodes of a crime drama called The Gates, about a seemingly placid gated suburban community that, of course, turns out to be more than meets the eye. So it's basically like the upcoming Happy Town mixed with Real Housewives of Orange County. For some reason this makes me think about Sam Neill guesting on RHoOC and that is a pleasing thought.

Either she just really missed the creatively stimulating environment, or Jorja Fox needs the down payment for a houseboat. Whatever the reason, her current return to CSI has been extended from five episodes to "indefinitely." Must be a pretty nice houseboat.

Showtime has picked up the torch in the longtime relay race to get an American version of the UK's popular drama Shameless on the air. And it looks like they're going to take it across the finish line. William H. Macy is signed on to play the alcoholic patriarch of a struggling Chicago family, while the all-important role of 18-year-old daughter Fiona has not yet been cast.

OK, turn off the doomsday clock. We've finally won. After four years of sucking Americans' souls out through our eyeballs and slack-jawed mouths, the Fox Reality Channel will air its last flickering misery and end its broadcast next March. Though, of course, many of the reality shows that FRC aggregated and aired as reruns will still continue to be produced. So. Battle, won. War, not at all over. Turn that clock back on.

CSI: Previewing Episode 10.05 "Bloodsport"

I liked last week. Let's see if we'll like this week.

If last week's CSI looked into a policeman who shot a fellow policeman who he thought was shooting indiscriminately, but turns out was shooting someone who was shooting his ward--yeah, I know that sounds confusing--then this week, we look at one big entity: a football team.

You see, this football coach was murdered in his home, which explains why the coffeemaker in the photos below is stained with blood. And this football coach, everybody loves him, which makes you wonder why anyone would want him killed in the first place. More so, the football team this dead guy handles--although, of course, you might easily spot a red herring when it comes, right? Well, at least most of the time.

Sara Sidle's in this episode, too, just to add to her extended stay on the show. Oh, wait, Sara Grissom, I mean. CSI returns with an all-new episode tonight from 9pm on CBS. You know where the photos are.

Official Promo of 'CSI: Las Vegas' Season 10

Hailed as TV's No. 1 drama, "CSI: Las Vegas" is giving the reasons why it claims such title through the new season 10 promo. Called "A few words about CSI", it reminds viewers how "ground-breaking", "jaw-dropping" and "pulse-pounding" the show can be and expects them to wait for "what's next?".

The first and original CSI will return on September 24, no longer featuring its forefather William Petersen aka Gil Grissom. He has been replaced in the last season by Laurence Fishburne who plays Dr. Raymond Langston.

Although she appears in the new promo, Riley Adams (Lauren Lee Smith) will also be absent starting this season because "the character never quite found its footing in terms of the rest of the gang." The show, however, is bringing back Jorja Fox to reprise her role as Sara Sidle.

Furthermore, TV Guide quoted a CBS rep as saying that Nick (George Eads) will get a promotion in the new season. He will officially be Catherine (Marg Helgenberger)'s No. 2, much like Catherine being Grissom's No. 2.

Promo of 'CSI: Trilogy' Released

CBS has begun airing the promo for "CSI: Trilogy", a crossover event that will take place in the second week of November. Dr. Raymond Langston from "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" will appear in the show's spin-offs, "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: NY" to solve a crime with one red string attached.
Beginning with a "Miami" episode, the crossover starts when Horatio finds severed leg which belongs to a girl who went missing in Las Vegas earlier that week. He summons Raymond to come to Everglades, Miami where the body part is found.

Then on "NY episode", a woman whom Raymond interviewed while in Miami pops up in New York, hidden in a big rig following an accident. Together with Mac Taylor, Raymond is unraveling a case of an interstate trucking ring that specializes in human cargo and black market organ harvesting. Mark Sheppard from "Battlestar Galactica" has a guest role in this episode.

The string ends in "Las Vegas" episode where Raymond goes to a prostitution ring in Las Vegas that may harbor the missing young girl taken a hostage as part of human trafficking operation.

"Bone Voyage", "Hammer Down" and "The Lost Girl" will air on November 9, 11 and 12 respectively.

'CSI: LAS VEGAS' Star Robert David Hall Stops By 'Take Five & Company'

Character actor Robert David Hall plays quirky coroner, Dr. Albert Robbins, on the Emmy-nominated CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The CBS show is seen weekly by more than 27 million people in the United States and is syndicated internationally.

In his 20-year career, Mr. Hall has amassed numerous credits in film and television. His feature film work includes: F. Gary Gray's The Negotiator, starring Kevin Spacey and Samuel L. Jackson; Paul Verhoeven's Starship Troopers, starring Casper Van Dien and Denise Richards and Michael Apted's Class Action, starring Gene Hackman and Laurence Fishburne.

In 1978, an 18-wheel truck struck Robert Hall's car and he was severely burned when his gas tank exploded, leading to the amputation of both legs. Today, he walks comfortably on two prosthetic limbs. It was his role as a burn survivor in Apted's Class Action that most closely parallels his life.

A devoted community activist and one of the most prominent actors with a disability working today, Mr. Hall proudly serves on the Board of Directors of the National Organization on Disability. He just completed his term as a National Board Member of the Screen Actors Guild and is National Chairman of the Performers with Disabilities Caucus for SAG, AFTRA and EQUITY. He sits on the boards of The Mark Taper Forum's "Other Voices Project" and The Media Access Office. He is a member of the Mutual Amputee Foundation and often visits recent amputees.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION is a fast-paced drama about a team of forensic investigators trained to solve crimes by examining the evidence. They are on the case 24/7, scouring the scene, collecting the irrefutable evidence and finding the missing pieces that will solve the mystery.

Catherine Willows, a hard-working single parent with a checkered past and a teenage daughter she's raising on her own, heads the team of investigators at the Crime Lab in Las Vegas, following previous leader Gil Grissom's departure. The team's other members include Dr. Raymond Langston, a former pathologist who joins the Las Vegas Crime Lab after consulting on a serial killer case; Nick Stokes, a true-blue stand-up guy who empathizes with victims via his own experiences; and Greg Sanders, the off-beat tech analyst turned field investigator. The CSI team members also work closely with Capt. Jim Brass, the former chief, now assigned to Homicide; Dr. Albert Robbins, the ever-professional medical examiner and his assistant, David Phillips; and David Hodges and Wendy Simms, lab technicians with specialties in trace and foreign-substance analysis.
